The Andhra Pradesh government announced a special reward for India's World Cup-winning Shree Charani. Officials from the Andhra Cricket Association, state ministers and supporters gathered at the Vijayawada International Airport to receive Charani.
The state, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is all set to present her with an INR 2.5 crore cash prize, a 1,000-square yard house site in her hometown Kadapa and a Group-I government job. Naidu made the announcement after meeting Charani after the 21-year-old arrived from New Delhi post the Indian team's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
