Shikhar Dhawan is described by many as one of India's best players in ICC events. However, the southpaw landed in trouble on September 4 after being summoned by the ED in an illegal betting app case.

During his illustrious career, Dhawan also had the opportunity to lead the Indian team in white-ball cricket. The 39-year-old played 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is. He finished with 10,867 runs in international cricket.

He was a part of the Indian team which won the Champions Trophy in 2013. In fact, the Delhi-born was the Player of the Tournament, finishing as the highest run-scorer by a distance. Dhawan also produced commendable performances with the bat in the ODI World Cup in 2015 and the Champions Trophy in 2017, finishing as India's highest run-getter in both tournaments.

Dhawan also has an impressive record in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he has aggregated 6768 runs from 221 innings at an average of 35.07 and a strike rate of 127.13. On August 24, 2024, he decided to retire from international and domestic cricket. However, he continues playing in Legends League tournaments around the world.
